How does a hyperbaric oxygen chamber work?
Consultation
The first step involves having a private consultation with a full-face assessment with one of our expert doctors. Our doctor will assess your ideas, concerns and expectations and create a tailored bespoke treatment plan for you. Most of our patients will be able to use the chamber on the same day, but you can defer this for another date. Our doctors will proceed with a consent process and explain the risks and complications from this procedure.
Treatment
You will then be taken through to the hyperbaric oxygen chamber where you will have a choice of listening to music or watching your favourite TV show or movie whilst in the comfort of the chamber. You may notice your ears ‘popping’ as it establishes equalisation of pressure from the chamber, this is completely normal and like air flights. Your treatment will last for 60 or 90 minutes depending on your treatment plan.
Aftercare
After your treatment, you will be provided with an aftercare guide and checked by one of the Surgicare team to ensure you are safe to go home. It is imperative to get the optimal results that you follow the treatment plan that has been created for you.

Yes, you can take your phone, laptop, and tablets into the chamber. Your treatment room has Bluetooth speakers and a tv, which will allow you to watch your favourite show or movie.
To see the significant benefits we recommend starting with a minimum of 2-3 sessions per week, followed by 1-2 sessions per week as a maintenance.
Very simple and much like a gym membership. You have a monthly membership fee with unlimited daily access to the HBOT (Monday-Saturday), maximum 1 session per day.
HBOT will enhance oxygen delivery to your muscle and tissues and enhance angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels). This will help increase stamina, endurance and faster recovery after a workout to increase overall athletic performance.
In principle HBOT is an excellent treatment to enhance recovery from most of the illness. If you have a history of medical health problems, during your consultation your doctor will discuss with you including the possible benefits and risks.
