Blood Testing for Health, Energy & Optimisation

Understand your body. Personalise your results.

At Surgicare, our blood testing services are designed to support your wellness, weight management, and vitamin therapy programmes. We go beyond basic screening — offering targeted diagnostic tests that help identify nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, or food intolerances that may be affecting your energy, metabolism, or overall wellbeing.

Whether you’re starting a weight loss plan, preparing for an IV nutrient drip, or addressing fatigue, inflammation, or hair loss, our doctor-led team ensures every test is interpreted with precision and used to guide a personalised treatment strategy.

All blood testing is performed or overseen by a doctor, ensuring safe, accurate results and actionable insights to help you feel — and function — at your best.

Types of Blood Tests We Offer

UKAS-accredited Central London labs — delivering fast, reliable, doctor-trusted results

A comprehensive overview of key health markers to assess organ function, immune health, and inflammation — ideal for those starting a wellness or vitamin therapy journey.
Focused on hormones, glucose, insulin resistance, thyroid function, and lipid balance to understand metabolism and optimise fat loss results.
Identifies low levels of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants such as B12, vitamin D, calcium, and iron — ensuring your IV therapy and supplementation plans are precisely tailored.
Detects sensitivities to common foods and ingredients that may contribute to bloating, fatigue, inflammation, or skin issues — guiding dietary and wellness adjustments.Hormone Testing
Our doctor-led hair loss panels are designed to uncover the underlying causes of thinning or shedding hair. We assess hormone balance, nutrient levels, thyroid function, and inflammation markers to identify what’s impacting growth and scalp health.
Understanding how your body responds to food is one of the most powerful tools for long-term health and weight management. Our Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) service tracks your blood sugar levels in real time, helping you uncover how diet, stress, sleep, and exercise affect your metabolism.

Unlike traditional finger-prick testing, a discreet wearable sensor provides round-the-clock data for up to two weeks, giving your doctor and nutrition team precise insights into your body’s glucose trends. This allows us to personalise your weight management plan, optimise IV nutrient therapy, and improve energy balance and fat-burning efficiency.

YorkTest Food Intolerance Test

If you experience ongoing symptoms such as bloating, headaches, fatigue, skin concerns, or unexplained weight changes, food intolerances may be playing a role. Our Premium Food Intolerance Test is designed to help identify how your body may be reacting to everyday foods and drinks.

The test uses a simple finger-prick blood sample to measure food-specific IgG antibodies, which can be produced when the immune system reacts to certain foods. These reactions may contribute to low-grade inflammation and persistent symptoms if left unaddressed.

Your results provide clear, easy-to-understand reactivity scores for over 200 food and drink ingredients, along with guidance on which foods to reduce or temporarily eliminate. This personalised insight allows you to make informed dietary choices, optimise your nutrition, and support overall wellbeing with professional guidance.

Blood Testing FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All blood tests at Surgicare are performed or overseen by a doctor to ensure accuracy and comfort. Samples are sent to a UKAS-accredited laboratory, and results are typically returned promptly. Once your results are ready, your doctor will provide a detailed report and explanation, including any recommendations for next steps or treatment adjustments.
Our Comprehensive Well Person Screen provides a detailed overview of your general health and wellbeing. It includes a full blood count, inflammatory markers, kidney and liver function, calcium, phosphate, uric acid, glucose, cholesterol, iron studies, thyroid function, ferritin, and vitamin D.
Most routine blood test results are available within 24 hours, and we’ll contact you as soon as they’re ready. Some specialised or advanced tests — such as hormone panels or food intolerance testing — may take a few days longer, but we’ll confirm expected turnaround times during your appointment.
The YorkTest helps uncover how specific foods may be affecting your energy, digestion, or skin by identifying subtle sensitivities often missed in routine testing. It’s a simple way to understand your body’s reactions and make informed dietary changes — supported by your doctor and our in-house dietitian for personalised guidance.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring provides real-time insight into how your body responds to food, stress, exercise, and sleep. Instead of a single blood sugar reading, a discreet sensor tracks your glucose levels throughout the day, revealing patterns that standard tests can miss.

For our patients, CGM helps to:

  • Optimise weight management plans by identifying foods that cause unwanted glucose spikes.
  • Personalise IV nutrient and supplement therapy based on metabolic needs.
  • Improve energy, focus, and recovery by balancing blood-sugar fluctuations.
  • Support long-term health by reducing insulin resistance and metabolic risk.

Your doctor and dietitian review your CGM data with you to create a bespoke nutrition and treatment strategy that supports steady energy, fat-burning efficiency, and overall wellbeing.
