Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injection’s are typically superficial and carried out with a very thin gauge needle, and therefore local anaesthetic is not usually required. The immediate redness/swelling settles very quickly enabling you to return to work on the same day.
Effects will typically last 3-4 months. Certain areas such as Jaw slimming and Hyperhidrosis for armpits, will last up to 6 months. You will find that the maximum effect of the treatment is experienced after 2 weeks.
There are usually little or no side effects, however there is potential for them. Mild redness/bruising will usually settle down very soon after the treatment.

Yes, we will would like to ensure that our clients come in two weeks post treatment, at which point we will also offer you a free top up if required

Dermal Fillers

Yes we apply Emla cream for 20-30 minutes prior to the procedure, which will help numb the area. We also use dermal fillers, which contain local anaesthetic. This combination will minimise the discomfort felt.
We typically have a range of Juvederm, Restylane, Stylage, Teoysal and Radiesse. If you have a particular preference, please mention this in your booking to ensure we have it during your appointment.
Typically the effects are immediate and will last between 6-18 months depending on the area treated.
Avoid exercise, alcohol, rubbing the area and make up for 24 hours. It is also recommended to avoid tanning beds and sauna’s in the first 2 weeks to avoid the filler breaking down.

Aqualyx

It is a simple and safe treatment for localised adiposity tissue (fat dissolving injections).
You pay close attention to a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly and eating a well-balanced diet, yet that one pad of fat that troubles you the most will not disappear? The cause for this lies within our genetics and the special structure of our fat cells in certain areas. These particular group of fat cells are difficult to diminish and AQUALYX is the perfect solution.
AQUALYX contains desoxycholan-acid, a secondary bile acid and endogenous substance. The liquid substance of AQUALYX creates a fat dissolving effect by the process of cavitational adipocytolysis.
Areas covered include a double chin, jowls, abdomen, love handles, hips, thighs, buttocks, knees and arms. It has also proven to be effective in treating pseudo-gynecomastia, buffalo humps and lipomas.
The number of treatments required vary according to the desired degree of amendment, the dimensions of the fat deposit and the individual reactions of the fat tissue. You could require up to 5 sessions depending on the size and site of the fat deposit. A 3-4 week interval is required between each appointment. Treatment with AQUALYX is not a solution for absolute weight loss. Results are permanent permitting the client does not gain weight. A healthy diet as well as a regular exercise regime is an absolute necessity to ensure success of the treatment. AQUAYLX is not a substitute for exercise.
Using a thin, flexible cannula, AQUALYX is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue. The treatment is virtually pain free, as the fat tissue is almost free of sensation. Additional local anaesthetic is mixed with the AQUALYX prior to injecting. The average pain score is 2/10. You may experience some redness/bruising after the procedure. It is expected after the procedure to experience a burning sensation for a number of days, as this is the process of adipocytolysis (fat cells dissolving), which in essence means that the treatment is working.
No cosmetics, alcohol, use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, Ice or direct contact with sources of heat (e.g. sauna, sun beds). Furthermore, avoid strenuous exercise for the immediate few days after. Maintain a strict and healthy diet, drinking plenty of fluids.
1) It is not recommended when the patient is suffering from acute or chronic skin disease in the affected area. 2) Previous history of allergies to AQUALYX 3) Extensive medical history 3) Women that are pregnant or breast feeding
